New U.S. Postal Rules

May 11th, 2012 by

US Mail AustinEffective Monday, May 21, 2012 the U.S. Postal Service is implementing new rules for international shipping.  As of that date you may not ship anything containing a lithium metal or lithium ion battery internationally.  Some common items with these batteries are cell phones, GPS units, laptop computers, and tablet computers.  This includes sending to APO, FPO, and DPO (military and diplomatic postal addresses).

Also on that date, USPS will no longer accept handwritten customs forms for international mailing.  Fortunately, your shipping pros at Pak Mail Anderson Mill know how to handle these forms electronically so we can be sure you’re taken care of properly!
