Pak Mail Anderson Mill Earns Esteemed 2013 Angie’s List Super Service Award
Award reflects company’s consistently high level of customer service
Pak Mail Anderson Mill has earned the service industry’s coveted Angie’s List Super Service Award, reflecting an exemplary year of service provided to members of the consumer review service in 2013.
“We strive to provide the best product and the best service at a reasonable price to the customers in our area,” said Joel Altsman, owner of Pak Mail Anderson Mill. “It’s an honor to be recognized as among the best by an organization as prestigious as Angie’s List.”
“Only about 5 percent of the companies Pak Mail Anderson Mill competes with in Austin are able to earn our Super Service Award,” said Angie’s List Founder Angie Hicks. “It’s a mark of consistently great customer service.”
Angie’s List Super Service Award 2013 winners have met strict eligibility requirements, which include an “A” rating in overall grade, recent grade, and review period grade; the company must be in good standing with Angie’s List, have a fully complete profile, pass a background check and abide by Angie’s List operational guidelines.
Service company ratings are updated daily on Angie’s List. Companies are graded on an A through F scale in areas ranging from price to professionalism to punctuality. Members can find the 2013 Super Service Award logo next to company names in search results on AngiesList.com.
Angie’s List helps consumers have happy transactions with local service professionals in more than 720 categories of service, ranging from home improvement to healthcare. More than 2 million paid households use Angie’s List to gain access to local ratings, exclusive discounts, the Angie’s List Magazine and the Angie’s List complaint resolution service.
Pak Mail Anderson Mill, opened in 2003, is part of a 400 store franchise operating in the U.S., Japan, and Mexico. Pak Mail offers the best in packing, shipping, crating, and freighting services.
We had our Pak Mail Convention last week in Atlanta. It was a great time of meeting new people, reconnecting with old friends, absorbing fantastic content, and interacting with important vendors.
Each Convention has a time of handing out awards. I was totally blown away with an award I won. It’s the Pak Mail’s MVP award. The big deal is that it’s sanctioned by the International Franchise Association (IFA) as their Distinguished Achievement Award “in recognition of outstanding individual performance and for contributions that have enhanced franchising’s distinguished place in a free economy.”
As one of franchising’s highest awards, it’s also known as the “Frannie” and can only be won once. What an honor it was to be recognized for our commitment to providing the best customer experience in the packing and shipping business.
Here’s a picture of me (center) receiving the award from Pak Mail CEO Alex Zai and COO Angela Gomez:
Here are some funny photos of how not to ship. Of course, if you bring your items to us, we’ll do it right!
By now you’ve all heard the horror stories about Christmas delivery delays. The biggest culprit, by far, in this mess was UPS. It’s been all over the national news and the internet.
Unlike many of our competitors, we offer a plethora of carriers to move our packages. Because we constantly monitor carrier performance, we were able to see the UPS debacle looming before it hit and we severely limited our use of that carrier during the holidays. Bacause of our proactive stance, we are proud to report only one instance of a late package – and that one was the postal service, over whom we have no control and never make any promises about delivery time.
So, the next time you need to ship something – across town or across the planet – stop by and see the pros at Pak Mail Anderson Mill. We’ll be sure to take good care of you. At Pak Mail, you’ve got choices!
The picture below is of a package we received that was sent to one of our mailbox customers. There was obviously not enough fill material to ensure the integrity of the box. Hopefully, the contents weren’t damaged, but we’ll have to wait until he picks it up to find out.
When you let the “professional boxers” at Pak Mail do your packing for you, this simply doesn’t happen!

On this day, we honor our military and thank them for the sacrifices and commitments they have made to protect our freedoms.
Here at Pak Mail Anderson Mill we’d like to say thank you as well. If you’re an active duty member of the military or a vet, just stop by today, show us your military ID, and your UPS, FedEx, LSO, and DHL shipping is 15% OFF!
And don’t forget – our deployed military has to pay for phone calls home. We have partnered with Cell Phones for Soldiers to help alleviate this burden. Bring us your old cell phones and we’ll get them to this wonderful organization. They use the proceeds from recycling the phones to provide free 60 minute phone cards to our deployed military. We include one in every APO/FPO package we ship out.
